MAD Printing – Print Manager

MAD Printing is a subsidiary of Mark Andrew Developments, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The company is a leading hospitality group established in 2004, which first started its commercial activity with the opening of the M20 bar in Didsbury. Since then, 8 more venues have been opened and have become landmarks of Manchester’s social life. We are of this city and we’ve grown together with it since the early beginnings.

Having gained extensive knowledge of the nation’s bar scene and its needs we have decided to add another string to our ever-expanding bow and have created MAD Printing. MAD Printing provides top quality printing services at a competitive rate to a range of clients in the hospitality industry and beyond. We require a Print Manager to lead the Printing Business, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the operations and overall commercial success of the business. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Print Manager with a strong background in a printing role, operating machines and producing print to a very high quality, but with an excellent commercial understanding and the drive to build this new part of our business from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day operations, maintaining quality and productivity standards, financial performance, budgeting.
  •      Local production, printing and packaging, customer service – operating a number of machines and being responsible for the print finish.
  • Ensuring adherence to company service-level agreements (SLAs),
  • Managing the printing and packaging process, meeting or exceeding performance standards and achieving established deadlines to constantly enhance the level of customer satisfaction.
  • Managing direct reports at the shift manager and supervisory levels.
  • Exercise a fundamental willingness to learn; identify imaginative and resourceful solutions to problems; seek continuous improvement and explores creative solutions.
  • Respond to on-line and walk-in enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Being in charge of opening and closing of office 9am – 6pm Monday – Friday.
  • Ensuring the business maintains the correct level of stock for its business needs.
  • Ordering stock and negotiating the best prices agreed with the Directors from time to time.
  • Reporting directly to the Directors of the company.
  • Professionally manage the printing shop throughout all aspects of health & safety, maintenance requests and fault reporting, ensuring best practice at all times.
  • Ensuring all production equipment is maintained, serviced, and systems up to date and compliant.
  • Maintaining and developing existing customers, and establishing new customers, through appropriate propositions and ethical sales and marketing methods.
  • Ensuring that any discounts or product promotions are advertised in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Managing the content of the web-site, ensuring that it is up to date and current, and that the online shop works efficiently and effectively at all times.
  • Organising the despatch of mail order goods ordered by customers in an efficient, timely and costs effective manner in accordance with policies and procedures agreed with the Directors.
  • Recommending sales and marketing activities for the business and then ensuring that these are delivered.
  • Monitoring, recording, analysing and reporting upon on activities, trends, and results.

The successful candidate must have a strong finance background with stock ordering and management experience, including an interest in arts, graphics & prints, and must have experience in single unit retail and printing environment.

We are looking for a competitive sales executive, with proven experience in the Liqueur and hospitality industry who can help develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the North of England area, and will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with suppliers and clients, generating leads and qualifying prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • ‪Making appointments to meet new and existing customers
  • ‪Understanding your customers’ needs
  • ‪Making presentations to promote new products and special deals
  • ‪Agreeing sales, prices, contracts and payments
  • ‪Advising customers about delivery schedules and after-sales service
  • ‪Keeping in contact with existing customers in person and by telephone
  • ‪Watching your competitors and the products they are offering
  • ‪Going to conferences and seminars and keeping up with industry trends
  • ‪Meeting your personal and company sales targets
  • ‪Reporting sales trends to the Directors.
  • ‪Reviewing sales prices and volumes quarterly to drive the best possible profit
  • ‪Liaising with suppliers and clients to resolve any issues with service
  • ‪Identifying new clients and areas of opportunity through knowledge of the north-west bar scene

Hours

‪Your working hours would be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You may be able to choose your hours as long as you meet your sales targets. Making enough appointments to meet the needs of all your customers could mean that you sometimes need to put in longer hours. This could include working evenings and weekends.

As you will cover a wide geographical area you will be required to spend much of your time out of the office travelling to and meeting with clients. When not on the road, you will be based in Manchester.

We are looking for fun, energetic and smiley bartenders to join our team. A real ability to give great customer service whilst making millions of milkshakes, if you are into American Cheese this is the job for you! ( you also get a great uniform too!) We are looking for full and part time bartenders.

Walrus – Our newly refurbished bar serves great food and drinks, with a relaxed and friendly vibe midweek, shifting at the weekend to one of NQs top venues for great DJS, amazing cocktails and late night party tunes!  It’s all about the service here with table service the norm midweek, and 4-deep at the bar come the weekend! We are looking for part and full time bartenders and barbacks.

Rosylee  – the jewel in the Northern Quarter, Rosylee is pretty as a picture, and is the perfect setting for warm cosy nights with delicious comfort food. Although predominantly a restaurant, our bar still attracts a crowd, and our varied cocktail menu is popular with the after work drinkers. We are looking for part time bartenders.
