General Manager - Lazy Lizard

This is the biggest one yet, we are opening an 800+ capacity Ibizanesque late-night bar, located in the heart of the City Centre. Taking inspiration from iconic bars and clubs from the White Isle, we are set to become Manchester hottest new venue for House Music. The bar will operate till 4am Thursday -Saturday with the opportunity for private hire, buyouts and one-off club nights on the remaining days. On split levels, this large space boasts a 200+ capacity VIP mezzanine, state of the art sound systems and light projections, and will attract world class DJs, events and performers.

Exited? So are we! Now that works has begun on the building, we are looking for a superstar General Manager to head up our new venue and help us build it from the very beginning.
A love of hedonism, house music and all things Ibizan is a must, along with proven track record in a similar fast-paced, cocktail led, late night, live music, high volume business. Experience of sound/lighting is advantageous but not necessary, but you will need to be a first class high capacity venue and event operator.

You will have the opportunity to work at the City’s hottest new venue for house music from the very beginning, putting your stamp on the venue and helping us build it into a world class venue.

Who are Mark Andrew Developments? I hear you ask…. well we started back in 2004 opening our what used to be M20 on the popular Burton Road, West Didsbury. Since then, we have e x p a n d e d, developing a further 8 venues in the heart of the Northern Quarter, and in Manchester’s suburbs.

Rosylee opened in 2014, firstly as a tearoom and has since evolved into a busy 80 cover restaurant and bar,
boasting a massive 120 seater terrace; the best suntrap in the Northern Quarter.

Our cocktail menu is based on classics with some NQ twists, and we have a great selection of wines and spirits and an ever-growing bar trade. We are proud that our kitchen cooks everything from scratch, and the menu offers great selection of dishes, from hand made pizzas, to burgers, to grills, all at affordable prices. Afternoon Tea also is popular at our venue, and we are a firm favourite for large groups and parties, who can also take advantage of the 1920s Fitzgerald Bar which is just upstairs!

This is a growing business with endless potential, and we are looking for a superstar GM who can lift Rosylee to even greater heights! Deputy General Manager – Tusk HM

Tusk Heaton Moor opened in August 2016 and is the new kid on the block! Boasting a contemporary décor and relaxing ambience, Tusk has a 65 cover restaurant and expansive bar area. Our cocktail menu is based on classics with some MAD twists, and we have a great selection of wines, beers, spirits and an ever-growing bar trade. SALES MANAGER

We are looking for a competitive sales executive, with proven experience in the Liqueur and hospitality industry who can help develop sales strategies and attract new clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for the North of England area, and will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with suppliers and clients, generating leads and qualifying prospects.

Responsibilities:

  • ‪Making appointments to meet new and existing customers
  • ‪Understanding your customers’ needs
  • ‪Making presentations to promote new products and special deals
  • ‪Agreeing sales, prices, contracts and payments
  • ‪Advising customers about delivery schedules and after-sales service
  • ‪Keeping in contact with existing customers in person and by telephone
  • ‪Watching your competitors and the products they are offering
  • ‪Going to conferences and seminars and keeping up with industry trends
  • ‪Meeting your personal and company sales targets
  • ‪Reporting sales trends to the Directors.
  • ‪Reviewing sales prices and volumes quarterly to drive the best possible profit
  • ‪Liaising with suppliers and clients to resolve any issues with service
  • ‪Identifying new clients and areas of opportunity through knowledge of the north-west bar scene

Hours

‪Your working hours would be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. You may be able to choose your hours as long as you meet your sales targets. Making enough appointments to meet the needs of all your customers could mean that you sometimes need to put in longer hours. This could include working evenings and weekends.

As you will cover a wide geographical area you will be required to spend much of your time out of the office travelling to and meeting with clients. When not on the road, you will be based in Manchester.

Walrus – Our newly refurbished bar serves great food and drinks, with a relaxed and friendly vibe midweek, shifting at the weekend to one of NQs top venues for great DJS, amazing cocktails and late night party tunes!  It’s all about the service here with table service the norm midweek, and 4-deep at the bar come the weekend! We are looking for part and full time bartenders and barbacks.

Rosylee  – the jewel in the Northern Quarter, Rosylee is pretty as a picture, and is the perfect setting for warm cosy nights with delicious comfort food. Although predominantly a restaurant, our bar still attracts a crowd, and our varied cocktail menu is popular with the after work drinkers. We are looking for part time bartenders.
